We are able to accommodate 16 service users, mainly in single room accommodation, most of which have ensuite facilities.
        
We have a choice of communal areas for residents to enjoy including a TV lounge, a quiet lounge and dining area.........

as well as a place to enjoy the sunshine........

At Holmhurst we encourage our residents to enjoy nutritious meals.  Our cook, Laura, works hard creating a varied menu using seasonal produce and makes fantastic puddings and cakes!! We try to cater for every resident's wishes, offering alternative options at every mealtime, and regularly ask residents for suggestions of what they wish to eat.  We are currently introducing themed days where food choices relate to the theme e.g. Italian day dinner will be pizza where the residents can choose their own pizza toppings.  We also encourage residents to take part in preparing their food - one of our residents enjoys making currys - and personalising their food e.g. cupcake decorating.  We are fortunate in our location in that Portswood High Street has a varied selection of shops including Polish and Asian supermarkets so we regularly give Laura the challenge of preparing some weird and wonderful meals using unusual ingredients!  To give Laura a well-earned rest we regularly organise a 'take-away' night where residents are able to order from the many different take-away restaurants nearby.
and....... we even try growing our own vegetables......
