Our Team

Sue Boyes
(Managing Director)
Sue acquired Holmhurst Care Home in July 2005 and inherited a fairly run down Care Home in need of a lot of TLC!  We’ve made huge improvements to the Home and we now have a fantastic Team who work well together to provide standards of care we are proud of.  Sue oversees the day to day running of the business – overall strategy, compliance with care standards, budgets and quality assurance and is qualified at NVQ Level IV and Registered Managers Award.

Karolina Chylek
(Senior Support Worker)
Karolina started working here part-time as a Domestic Assistant but found she was more interested in supporting the service users so has studied a Health and Social Care Diploma and is now working full time in a senior support role with responsibility for training and development.  She has a real affinity with the service users and is incredibly kind and caring.

Anna Brown
(Senior Support Worker)
Anna joined us as a support worker and is now a senior in charge of medication.  Anna is our Dignity Champion and is therefore our person to 'go the extra mile' to achieve the wishes and aspirations of our residents.

Helen James
(Senior Support Worker)
Helen has also come from a domiciliary background.  She has worked here for several years and has recently been promoted to a senior position and is our infection control lead. Helen is fantastic at thinking about ways we can improve on what we do and she has a real eye for detail.

Motion Kachidza
(Support Worker)
Motion has worked here for several years and is a valued member of our Team.  Motion is really patient and helpful when teaching new members of the Team. She has recently completed an Access to Nursing Course which she hopes will lead to a degree course in the future in order to achieve her dream of being a mental health nurse.

Jade Ryves
(Support Worker)
Jade has been here a number of years now and has completed a Health and Social Care Diploma at Level III, and Mental Health Awareness.  She currently works on a part-time basis around the demands of her young family.

Emma Bell
(Support Worker)
Emma works part time doing evenings and nights although is currently on maternity leave with her second child.

Harriet Boyes
(Support Worker)
Hattie is one of the younger members of our staff and brings her natural exuberance and sense of fun to the role!

Mavis Kuradu
(Support Worker)
Mavis is in her final year studying to be social worker for people with learning disabilities and works at Holmhurst during weekends and some nights.

Rob Burrows
(Support Worker)
Rob has a full-time job elsewhere so just works at Holmhurst on Saturday nights. He's a great film buff and encourages movie nights at the home for the residents.

Laura Parry
Laura has recently joined us and is responsible for cooking all of our tasty and nutritious dinners.  Since joining us she has 'put her stamp' on the role by reviewing the menu to accommodate seasonal produce and include themed days e.g. Italian day.
